I'm not too sure I will miss Chinese New Year this year after all.. its funny because I always like the festivities like checking out the auctions, listening to the CNY songs, putting up the decorations and now, teaching my 2 yo how to sing and dance to that inane 'Gong xi, gong xi' song.
It becomes a little irritating after I moved back to my parents because then I had all the obligations that I have to do to help my mum prepare for the endless dinners, designated driver for midnight wet market run (excuse being lack of fresh fruits, meats & vegetables at the wet market in the ensuing days). PLUS taking care of my helper and child, PLUS my extended family. Life is not that easy.
I miss being mistress of the household again...
